Ford loads Fiesta fans, info on USB
Ford Fiesta Performance - The all-new 2011 Ford Fiesta, which is targeting younger buyers, will cater to their tastes by putting information about their car, dealership and other Fiesta owners on an interactive USB that can be plugged into a computer to access the searchable information.
The move builds on a successful marketing blitz leading toward the sale of the new subcompact car, which is one size smaller than the Focus -- the current entry-level car in Ford's U.S. lineup.
The automaker's preparations to launch the Fiesta have been dubbed the Ford Retail Movement -- to get the sales force ready and to engage customers, as well as create a unique delivery experience for the buyer.
"Everything about the launch of the Fiesta has been different and the delivery experience is redefining how customers become acquainted with their new product," said Paul Anderson, Ford small car marketing manager. "This makes owners a part of something special."
A Fiesta buyer will be able to view a video in the showroom about what their ownership experience might be like and will have their picture taken with their new car. The photo is then uploaded to the Fiesta Community site as a means of communing with other owners.
